On 31st October, Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar, with the generous support of CSR partner Sine Wave Generators, inaugurated the donation of auditorium equipment, chairs, and a computer lab at Karnataka’s Polytechnic, Mangalore. Karnataka Polytechnic, Mangalore is a Government Polytechnic, which provides quality training to eligible students and prepares them as good technicians to suit the needs of industry, services and self employment, be innovative and succeed as good citizens. The programme was attended by a large number of Rotarians.

This project is aimed to improve the nutritional status of undernourished mothers and children through nutritional aid and reducing malnutrition and its associated risks. The doctors guided the women on how to use the protein powder and advised them not to miss out on taking the tablets. This project is focused on maternal and child health, to promote early childhood development.

Ground Breaking ceremony ( Guddali Pooja) of CSR 5.0 for construction of classrooms under the ongoing Namma Hemmeya Shaale series was held on 25th October at Govt. Higher Primary School, Arakavathynagar, Seegehalki Gate, Magadi Road. PP Rtn P V Rai our CSR partner Pixel Softek Pvt. Ltd., did the honours along with President Rtn S Sudharshan Reddy in the presence of Principal of the school, Panchayat committee members and other elders and dignitaries from the locality. Under this project two classrooms will be built above the existing structure to accommodate seating for children as there's space constraint currently. Event was well attended by Rotarians from our club, who later visited another primary school nearby where compound is being built. Rotarians used the opportunity to visit factories of Rtn Rakesh and Rtn Sudharshan Reddy.
On 26th September, 2025, Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar conducted Veterinary camp at Chiranakuppe, Kanakapura, jointly with Rotary Kanakapura. A well organized programme where 400 cattles including Cows, Bulls, Desi Cows, Sheep, Goats, Hens and pets like Dogs were treated with Hormones, Vaccination and medication. President Rtn. Sudarshan Reddy, CSD Rtn. Ashok Mahadevan, PP Rtn. Krishnamurthy, Rtn. Bhimsen and Rtn. Vishwakumar attended the project.

On September 2nd, 2025, President and CSD Rtn. Ashok visited Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Vasanth Nagar for Limb joint replacement surgery updates. RBV has committed 40 limb joint replacements. Already they have completed 20 Limb joint replacements, balance 20 will be completed by end of next week. Once all 40 surgeries are completed, Rotarians will be visiting the hospital and meet the beneficiaries. Also happened to meet few patients. Handed over the cheque to authorities as per our commitment.
On September 4th, 2025, Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar in association with Rotary Magadi Central organised a Mega Health Camp at Kempegowda Fort Grounds, Magadi Town. The health camp was conducted by BGS Global Hospital. A total of 520 patients were screened and treated for different ailments, 162 spectacles were distributed (spectacles were sponsored by RBV), a total of 60 unit's of blood was collected. Secretary Rtn. Sudhir K donated his blood. President Rtn. Sudarshan Reddy, Rtn. Lalitha, YSD Rtn. Vishwakumar, Past President Rtn. Krishnamurthy, Secretary Rtn. Sudhir, Past President Rtn. Ravindra, Vice President Rtn. Vivekananda and Ann. Niveditha attended the health camp. This initiative is part of Rotary’s ongoing efforts to support general public health and welfare in the community by organising free health check-ups, consultations & health awareness sessions.
On September 2nd, 2025, a Mega Eye Screening Camp was conducted at Rehabilitation Centre, Beggars Colony with assistance from Modi Hospital. This initiative is part of Rotary’s ongoing efforts to support general public health in the community. 69 patients were screened. 20 patients were selected for Cataract Surgery. 41 patients need spectacles. 21 patients were operated on 6th September, 2025 at Modi Eye Hospital and discharged. All patients are doing good. Post surgery follow up will be done by the hospital.
On September 10th, 2025, Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar visited Thyamgondlu Government School, near Nelamangala and donated 5 wooden desks to be used in school classrooms and kitchen equipment such as Gas Stove and Mixer. The beneficiary are 140 students. This was led by President Rtn. Sudarshan Reddy, Secretary Rtn. Sudhir K and CSD Rtn. Ashok Mahadevan This initiative is part of Rotary’s ongoing efforts to support youth welfare and education in the community.
On September 9th, 2025, a Mental Health Awareness session was conducted for the students of Bangalore Blaze Girls High School, Nagarbhavi. This workshop is designed and conducted by Dr. Deekshitha from NIMHANS to create awareness among students about mental health, reduce stigma, and equip them with tools to manage stress and emotions. The workshop included expert sessions, interactive activities, and open discussions. 150 students comprising from 8th to 10th standard attended the workshop. 18 students from 10th standard had one-to-one sessions. This initiative is part of Rotary’s ongoing efforts to support youth health and education in the community.
Inner Wheel Bangalore has donated an ambulance to the remote tribal communities of Sri Sathya Sai Vatsalyam, located in Uyyamballi Village, Kanakapura Taluk, Karnataka. This dedicated facility focuses on basic health services, addressing common medical conditions while closely linking with local and regional health networks. This contribution aims to enhance emergency response and medical accessibility for underserved populations, especially in hard-to-reach tribal regions. Past President Rtn. P V Rai from Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar has made a generous donation of 2 lakhs for this project.
On 16th August, 2025, Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar partnered with Rotary Bangalore Kanakapura Road on organising a wellness programme, where a portion of the proceeds would be donated to Visually Challenged Girls Music School. The programme started with a soulful Bharatanatyam dance performance, followed by various health sessions such as about talk on Brain Strokes by Dr. Sharath from Manipal hospital, sessions on Mental Health, Yoga, Pranic healing, followed by music performance by Visually Impaired, concluded with Sound therapy by Kumari and Kanuska. President Rtn. Sudarshan Reddy, President elect Rtn. Anil Kumar, YSD Rtn. Vishwakumar and Rtn. Rakesh attended the programme.

Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar distributed about 1800 health cards in the 2-days health camp conducted at Siddaganga Public School, Chandra layout. These students were screened for general health, eye and dental care. A social message with RBV logo was printed on each health card thus helping the public image.
Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar had a joint community service project with Rotaract Bangalore Vijayanagar at BBMP Maternity Hospital, Magadi road. This project is aimed to improve the nutritional status of undernourished mothers and children through nutritional aid and reducing malnutrition and its associated risks. This project is focused on maternal and child health, to promote early childhood development. 10 sets of Nutrition Kits/Aids were distributed to the Mothers who had delivered recently.
Rotary Bangalore Vijayanagar had a joint community project along with Rotary Magadi Central, to take up general health check up for the public, around 140 patients were scanned for BP Diabetes, ECG and Mammogram was done for 4 patients. All the above diagnosis and treatment was done by Narayana health city free of cost. This was the first of its kind doing a health camp jointly with Rotary Magadi Central, targeting the beneficiaries from the Public to create awareness about health and diagnosing issues if any at an early stage. This project will help the community to understand the seriousness of health and timely health check ups to keep track about their health status, so that one could save a life before it could be too late, and also awareness was created about breast cancer and cervical cancer amongst the women.
5 sets of Computer Desktop systems each were donated to Sathnur Govt School, Mandya and Govt School Induvalu, Mandya under "Jnana sethu", a Rotary District 3191 Grant Project. This project is aimed to help the Govt School children in rural areas where children can learn about the computers and its knowledge. This helps them to get hands on experience on the knowledge of computers. 5 Rotarians participated and around 87 children got benefited in Satnur Govt School, Mandya and around 61 children got benefitted in Govt School Induvalu, Mandya.
On July 26th, 2025, a Mental Health Awareness session was conducted for the students of Nele Foundation. On July 24th, 2025, a Mental Health Awareness session was conducted for the students of Camlin English School, Vijayanagar. This workshop is designed and conducted by doctors from NIMHANS to create awareness among students about mental health, reduce stigma, and equip them with tools to manage stress and emotions. The workshop included expert sessions, interactive activities, and open discussions. Two workshop sessions were conducted, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Morning session was conducted for the students. 200 students attended the morning session and 32 teachers attended the afternoon session.

The CSR School building project held today was indeed memorable. The program was very well planned and executed by both the management and the students. All the students - from the band group, anchors, performers etc., were at their best. Their enthusiasm was clearly visible. At the end of it they extended their hospitality with sumptuous sattvic lunch made with home grown vegetables and wound up home made delicious dessert.
Our deep gratitude to the Brilliant Printers CEO Anil Rego and our own Rtn PP Nanjunda for making this worthy project a reality.
Special thanks to all the Rotarians who attended today's meet.
Another note worthy aspect was the enthusiasm displayed by Rtn Eshika throughout the program.

On the occasion of Doctor's Day on July 1st at Blood Donation Camp was organised at Aaditya Auto Components off Magadi Road. Employees participated in full enthusiasm including our Rotarian Rakesh and Annet of Rtn. Satish Agrahara and totally 50 units of blood was collected to mark the beginning of the rotary year. Director - Community Service Rtn. Sudhir Krishnamurthy handed over the Appreciatioin Certificate to the Proprietor of Aaditya Auto Components , Kamakshipalya, Bengaluru for their participation.
11.09.2022 - Rotary Nele Vocational Training Centre has seen great partnership of two fabulous NGOs and helped hundreds of women, children and young alike. Rtn Ashok deligently executed the event. Rtn Ram Sheshu from Born to Win, an acclaimed trainer motivated the graduates. Innerwheel sisters Ann Hema and Ann Saraswathi guided the choreography. Graduates were given certificates, students of Nele showed their exemplary skill and talent.
On 18th August " Pregnant women awareness and Nutrition camp" under community service was held at Government PHC, chord road centre. Dr.Adarsh addressed the Pregnant women and mothers of new born babies, where RBV distributed Nutrition powder for 25 pregnant women and Baby wraps and vitamin D drops for 30 new born babies. Also distributed bags with RBV logo.
RBV celebrated Independence day with the children of Manav Special School and Rehabilitation Centre. It was a memorable experience to be with the children who sang the invocation song and participated in the flag hoisting and also danced to some popular numbers. Large number of members participated. RBV donated provisions as well as some essential medicines on this occasion
RBV sponsored the heart surgery of Master Tharun D J who underwent the procedure at jayadeva Hospital on 14th July
A blood donation camp was organised at CNC India Tools & Services pvt ltd on 6th July,22. It saw good participation from their employees which resulted in 60 units of blood being collected at the end of the day. Led by our President Rtn. Ravishankar S,Community Services Director Rtn.Hiremath S also donated blood. This is the first of many to be organised this year.
RBV has embarked on its most ambitious CSR project till date,titled “Namma Hemmeya Shaale”, "Shaala Abhivruddhi Abhiyaana" sponsored by Pixel Softek Pvt Ltd of PP Rtn. P.V. Rai & Rotary Foundation, , under the chairmanship of PP Rtn. Hemanth Bekal and led by Community Service Director Rtn. Shashi Mouli.The civil aspects were supervised by our own Rtn. Harish Ibrampur. Inauguration of the first phase was held on 18th June, 2022 Government School Sathnur and at Government School Kallahalli, Mandya. followed by valedictory & Lunch at Hotel Lemon Grass near Mandya.
Program consisted of handing over 2 Toilet Blocks and 2 toilet blocks at Sathanur and Kallahalli Government schools of Mandya District along with Desks,Water filters.Chief Guest to the event was MLA of Mandya South Mr. Srinivas. It was heartening to see the happiness on the faces of children, teaching staff and officials concerned as it was something essential which could make a big difference to the children which fitted with the objective of the whole initiative.
PP Rtn. D Shivakumar initiated the water purifier plant project and computer handing over project at Tumkur. PP Rtn. PV Rai sponsored the said computers. Peace Scholar of 2020 from USA North Carolina Rotary Peace Centre (now on a visit to Bangalore) accepted our request to witness a Rotary project by RBV.
School Development CSR project Titled " Namma Hemmeya Shaale" - at Sathnur Government High school, Mandya District got off to a good start with a guddali pooja on 13th April 2022. Then a visit to all other site locations Kallahalli, Channappana doddi and Hosa Budanur was also undertaken. Slated to be one of the biggest CSR projects ever undertaken by RBV is focused on school development especially in the rural areas as mandated by the CSR partner Pixel Softech of PP Rtn.P.V.Rai. It is expected to be spread over a few years where needy schools will be provided with a necessary infrastructure boost along with other teaching equipment.
on 10th March on behalf of RBV a Sanitary Napkin Wending Machine along with one Sanitary Napkin Burning machine was donated to Government High School at Marenahalli. Thanks to contribution from Rtn. Rakesh & family Rs.15,000, Rtn. U shivakumar Rs.5,000 and Innerwheel Vijayanagar Rs.5,000 the project was executed. After the inauguration of the machine a talk by Innerwheel on Health and Hygiene to the girl children present was also arranged. The event was attended by Members along with Anns
Pulse Polio NID 2022 -the Signature Project of Rotary was organized by RBV in its designation 3 centres at West of Chord Road, Hosahalli and Govindrajanagar on 27th February 2022.
It commenced at 7 am wherein the volunteers were ferried to respective touch points from each centers. In all 400 volunteers were roped by the 3 centres for the NID campaign.
They were served breakfast, Lunch with water by RBV and each of the volunteers were also given Certificate of Appreciation by RBV through the centres.
A total of 6922 ( 101.3%), 5127 (101%), 6405 (100%) were vaccinated at Chord Road, Hosahalli and Govindarajanagar respectively.
NID campaign was successful due to large scale participation of Members with their Anns and participation from Inner Wheel members too.
Due to COVID there was a gap of almost 2 years, again RBV was in action during 2021-22 under the able leadership of Rtn. Mehul Shah, Distributed few blankets to needy, SSLC study materials were distributed SSLC students under Vidya Nidhi project and inaugurated the classroom which was renovated by RBV earlier.
RBV supported withRs. 3 lakhs to Miss Deepa a B.Com student from Channarayapatna for her Cochlear surgery which was performed at Narayanaga Hrudayalaya. The surgery was successful and the patient is on the path of recovery. It was a another instance of RBVians rising to the occassion by donating liberally for a noble cause
250 blankets were distributed by RBVians at different parts of the city to the needy on the night of 21st December. Good number of rotarians and rotractors joined the effort which was split into 5 teams who spread out in different directions in the middle of the night and distributed it to the needy.Rotarians Srinath, Krishnamurthy, Ketan Shah contributed to the nobel cause. It was indeed a statisfying experience to help the needy in times of need.
RBV donated Jackets and Solar lanterns to the Forest Personnel at Nagarhole Tiger Reserve on 4th December 2021. 30 Jackets and 2 Lanterns were presented to Forest Officer Mr. Naveen and other personnel by President Rtn. Mehul Shah in the presence of members of RBV. PP Rtn. Venkatakrishna coordinated the visit and rotarians contributed to the cause.
Our annual “Pashu Kirana” veterinary camp jointly with Rotary Bharatinagar concluded successfully on 28th November under the supervision of Dr. Magroob Hussain. It was one of the most successful camps with 200+ examinations and 100+ insemination being done. Attendance of a large number of rotarians added to the excitement at the Karkalli village.
A blood donation camp was organised by RBV on 27th November at Online Instruments (India) Pvt Ltd headed by our own Rtn. Mahesh Bellad at their corporate office premises at Indira Nagar. Enthusiastic employees including our Rotarians Mahesh Bellad and Rtn Dr. Mallikarjune Gowda donated blood and 45 units of blood were collected. Kudos to Rtn. Mahesh Bellad for this initiative in encouraging his employees to donate blood and for the excellent hospitality extended to the rotary members who were present during the camp.
Asha Chethana project is a hand holding project for Asha and Link workers of RBV managed pulse polio centres. During the first leg of the project on 23rd October at Chord Road PHC, we distributed Ration kits to 20 Asha and 16 Link workers and 4 others staffs of PHC. Total 40 nos. Worth Rs.40000. Total 9 Rotarians participated during the distribution function.
Mrs. Asha P Kumar - Senior HR Manager - MARLABS ( Committee Member for CSR in MAARLABS) was the guest speaker at the virtual weekly speaker meeting on 6th October 2021. She explained the process of Team Work by involving the audience and also explained the process of how a project is chosen for CSR grant and the procedure further on. On 1st October 2021, RBV Distributed 100 School Bags and a UV Water Filter to Govt High School at Hale Budanur in Mandya District. Both were much needed by the children of the school and were very happy to receive the school bags and the teachers also appreciated gesture by RBV let by CSD Shashi Mouli. Mrs. Chandrakantha - BEO was the chief guest of the event and Mrs. Sathyabhama Headmistress was also present along with Members of RBV who were present on the occasion

Rtn. Shashi Mouli, Community Service Director Donated a Wheel Chair to Ravindra, 52 married male, from the lower socio economic status who has been diagnosed with traumatic spinal cord injury, was admitted in NIMHANS. His upper & lower limbs are affected. An armrest removable wheel chair was donated to Ravindra.
1st day of Rotary year coinciding with the Doctor's saw a Health Camp being organized at Elder Care Centre of Dignity Foundation at Vijayanagar. 35 inmates benefitted from the General Health and Dental check up. Rtn Dr shreedhara and team, Dr. Ramaiah extended their professional help and Dr. Merlin ( co-ordinator of Dignity foundation extended necessary help. It was attended by many members including few prospective Rotarians.
